چکیده

Abstract The rheological properties of cement pastes prepared using kenaf-plant cellulose microfibers (CMFs), which was incorporated for the purpose internal curing, were investigated. main test variables are length and mass fraction CMFs. CMFs lengths 400 ?m 5 mm included in mixtures at 0.3, 0.6, 1, 2 wt.% cement. Dry CMF particles wetted with water to fiber saturation point vacuum filtration immediately before mixing. An optimum shearing protocol designed minimize shear-induced structural breakdown under hysteresis loops shear strain rate. It consisted an initial pre-shearing step a high rate 80 1/s, three acceleration deceleration cycles maximum 40 rest each acceleration. mixtures’ flow curves well fitted Herschel–Bulkley fluid model minimum coefficient determination 0.9993. yield stress least 34.3% higher longer same dose. However, exhibited similar plastic viscosities variation only approximately 5.8%.

Effect of Mix Proportions on Rheological and Hardened Properties of Composite Cement Pastes

There is an increasing need to identify the effect of mix composition on the rheological properties of composite cement pastes using simple tests to determine the fluidity, the cohesion and other mechanical properties of grouting applications such as compressive strength. This paper reviews statistical models developed using a fractional factorial design which was carried out to model the influ...

Uniformly Dispersed and Re-Agglomerated Graphene Oxide-Based Cement Pastes: A Comparison of Rheological Properties, Mechanical Properties and Microstructure

The properties of graphene oxide (GO)-based cement paste can be significantly affected by the state of GO dispersion. In this study, the effects of uniformly dispersed and re-agglomerated GO on the rheological, mechanical properties and microstructure of cement paste were systematically investigated. Two distinct dispersion states can be achieved by altering the mixing sequence: Polycarboxylate...

Technology of Polymer-cement Mixes Preparation with Specified Rheological Properties Technology of Polymer-cement Mixes Preparation with Specified Rheological Properties

In recent years, many new materials appeared on our construction market: polymer pastes, sealants, primers, foam. In addition, dry mixes have been suffered some changes. Previously, for the bonding of stones, leveling and processing of walls and ceilings lime, clay, alabaster, gypsum, and mixtures were used. Before the use, they are diluted with water. The development of dry mixes conducted in ...

Properties of Cement Pastes Doped with Very High Amounts of Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag

In the current work, the properties of cement pastes doped with high amounts of ground granulated blast-furnace slag (HVS) were investigated. Portland cement (PC) was substituted with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (donated as slag) at very high amounts of 85%, 90%, 95% and 100%, by weight. PC paste without any content of slag was used as a reference. Some fresh and hardened properties su...

Rheological properties of nanocrystalline cellulose suspensions.

Rheological behavior, including linear and nonlinear, as well as transient rheology of nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) suspensions was studied in this work. Two kinds of polymer solutions, aqueous poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with flexible chain structure and aqueous carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) with semi-rigid chain structure, were used as the suspension media to further explore the role that th...
